The Officer serves as a one-person recruitment, engagement, and student-pathways operation within the STEM Pre-College Programs team. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field., • New York State Teaching Certification preferred., • Previous experience teaching or tutoring elementary or middle school students, preferably Grades 5 and 6., • Strong classroom management and communication skills., • Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning styles., • Passion for helping students achieve their academic goals., • Must be authorized to work in the United States. (UAU) is a Staten Island-based community organization providing youth development, education, and community support services. The School Monitor supports Beacon, Cornerstone, COMPASS, and SONYC afterschool programs by maintaining safety, order, and security during program hours. This role focuses on supervising common areas such as hallways, stairwells, and restrooms to ensure a safe and orderly environment for youth participants and staff while supporting overall program operations.
