Job Description DEPARTMENT: Facilities Maintenance JOB TITLE: Maintenance Attendant REPORTS TO: Assistant Maintenance Director SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Afternoons/Evenings COMPENSATION: Competitive; based on experience BENEFITS: Eligible for applicable Club benefits, including meals, fitness program, health benefits, golf privileges, and professional development opportunities Burning Tree Country Club is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-driven Maintenance Attendant to support the daily operations and overall upkeep of the Club. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-functioning environment to ensure a pleasurable experience for our Members and guests, particularly during afternoon and evening events. The Maintenance Attendant works across multiple areas of Club operations, assisting with cleaning, furniture movement, lighting setup, and general facility upkeep. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining Burning Tree’s high standards of excellence. The Essentials (Core Responsibilities) • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of storage spaces, hallways, elevators, and public areas as assigned, • Perform general cleaning duties including carpet care, vacuuming, window cleaning, and trash removal according to daily and weekly schedules, • Assist with moving furniture and event setup, including lighting arrangements, • Respond promptly to Member and supervisor requests • Report damages or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Director • Support the safe and efficient operation of maintenance equipment • Maintain observation of Club maintenance standards at all times The Expectations (Performance & Leadership) • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, • Demonstrate efficiency and accuracy in completing assigned tasks, • Follow all safe operating procedures when using equipment, • Maintain awareness of surroundings and anticipate operational needs, • Prevent unnecessary equipment breakdown by reporting concerns promptly, • Maintain flexibility for extended hours and varying shifts, • Uphold professionalism and service standards in all interactions, • Contribute positively to the Club’s culture and operational success The Standards (Qualifications & Professional Conduct) • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training preferred), • Previous experience in general maintenance or physical labor preferred, • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, • Knowledge of proper chemical handling and Bloodborne Pathogens procedures preferred, • Basic conversational English with reading and writing ability for communication with Members and supervisors, • Strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented mindset Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods (up to 8 hours), • Frequent walking and mobility throughout the property, • Ability to reach above shoulder height and perform various physical movements, • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, • Push or pull carts and equipment up to 250 pounds, • Work in variable temperature conditions and noise levels, • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
