Job Description Summary DB Fitzpatrick is a registered asset management company. The Analyst’s primary duties will be in operational support, investment research, and portfolio analysis. Support and research will be focused on the firm’s fixed income strategies, with the analyst also assisting the Commercial Mortgage and Equity departments as needed. Finally, the Analyst will periodically assist the billing department. This is a full-time, in-office position, requiring collaboration with portfolio managers, operations staff, and other departments. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Operations and Investment Support • Assist with trade entry, trade processing, trade verification, and documentation., • Maintain and update portfolio data within Axys, including security setup, pricing updates, and portfolio information., • Assist with daily and periodic reconciliation of portfolio holdings and transactions between Axys and custodial records, including Schwab Advisor Center., • Support preparation and review of client portfolio reports generated through Axys., • Maintain security master data including bond characteristics, maturity dates, coupon rates, and pricing information sourced from Bloomberg., • Monitor and process corporate actions such as calls, maturities, and redemptions affecting portfolio holdings., • Prepare billing, marketing materials, tax reports, and assist with audits., • Coordinate with operations and compliance personnel to ensure trade activity and portfolio records follow firm policies and regulatory requirements. · Handle client and internal phone inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses. · Prepare and execute fixed income security trades Investment Research and Analysis • Conduct research and analysis on fixed income securities, • Monitor interest rate trends, credit spreads, and macroeconomic developments impacting fixed income markets., • Assist portfolio managers with portfolio design, duration monitoring, and credit exposure analysis., • Prepare investment summaries, research notes, and credit analysis reports., • Monitor portfolio holdings and assist with performance and risk analysis., • Provide analytical support to other departments as needed. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a combination of education and/or experience related to the responsibilities of the position is preferred., • Interest in fixed income markets and investment research. Technical Skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel., • Experience with investment and portfolio management platforms including Bloomberg, Axys, DTCC, and Schwab Advisor Services is preferred., • Ability to analyze financial data, portfolio information, and investment reports.
