As a member of the pre-award team, the Manager of Research Administration contributes to department's research mission by supporting grant-related pre-award administrative activities. Responsibilities Pre-Award Grant Administration • Assists PIs in the development, review, and submission of all Federal, State, and foundation grants and contract applications, including individual investigator grants, multiple principal investigator (MPI), and complex grants, such as training grants, career development grants, and program center grants. Independently leads submission of grants: manages timelines, research team communication, and the overall progression of submission to ensure the on-time completion of high quality, responsive and compliant proposal applications. Proactively communicates progress and roadblocks and collaborates with leadership to mitigate problems and identify or innovate solutions., • Facilitates and supports identification of funding opportunities on behalf of investigators, as appropriate., • Prepares grant budgets and budget justifications based on the aims provided and RFA technical content requirements in full compliance with sponsor/donor and CU policies, as well as engages outside collaborators and establishes subcontracts., • Drafts supporting documents for grants including letters of intent, letters of support, cover letters, facilities and resources., • Maintains detailed, up-to-date records of PI's other support, biosketches, and grant submission documents., • Responds to RFAs and addresses issues prior to submission., • In coordination with the post-award team and the principal investigators, promotes accurate preparation and timely submission of progress reports as required by sponsoring program., • Tracks the status of pending applications, follows up with investigator regarding review/funding status of application., • Supports investigators in responding to Just-In-Time requests., • Ensures files are complete for awarded applications, secures missing information from principal investigators and/or administrators., • Maintains standards: budget templates, standardized checklists for core staff and PIs tailored to the sponsor/mechanism, standardized filing system using shared drives, updated resources and facilities., • Guides and mentors researchers and junior team members on grant funding policies and procedures., • Collaborates with leadership to share information and contribute to the ongoing improvement of standards, policies, and procedures leading to the continuous enhancement of service and quality., • Continuously develops and maintains sound knowledge of federal regulations that govern research grants, as well as stays informed about sponsor terms and conditions for submitting and administering grant awards. Contract Analyst What you will be doing: The Contract Analyst is responsible for the creation of analytic deliverables for the Member Value Enablement ("MVE") division to support strategies to bring top value to the membership and revenue opportunities for Premier. The Contract Analyst will be responsible for creating high standard, reliable analytics deliverables and executing on-time improved analytics deliverables to optimize the value of the GPO, clinical tools, and services. The Contract Analyst will work with the Director, Manager, and Senior Contract Analysts to support the needs of the member and commercial team nationwide to ensure new technology & processes meet their needs. The Contract Analyst will also maintain product and service knowledge and technical competency in all products offered throughout Supply Chain Services. In addition, the Contract Analyst will be responsible for awareness and knowledge of other business groups to better serve accounts and to drive additional member engagement. Key Responsibilities Analysis - 90% * Creating high quality, member-ready analytic deliverables to support members and revenue generation * Identify and assist with issue resolution and troubleshoot data/tool issues for escalation to the Manager for resolution * Assist the Manager to identify any gaps in member solutions including Sourcing/Contracting, Technology and Analytics * Adhere to data standard and governance guidelines * Follow Member Operation Plans outlining nuances for report creation * Maintain an understanding of all the revenue driving, and value add products and services offered to, the membership * Understand data flow, large data set review, and cleanup issues (ex: UOM) * Conduct routine analytics required to demonstrate the value of Premier contracts and to drive contract penetration. * Be an expert on Supply Chain ITS tools. Overtime rate is: $48.90 Responsibilities: • General maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness to ensure the facilities and equipment in the building and resident's apartments are in good working order at all times., • Executes daily routine work orders and escalates issues upward as necessary, • Builds and repairs cabinets, counters, closets, and other carpentry as needed, • Making minor electric repairs (switches, receptacles, light fixtures, etc), • Plastering and painting as needed on small and large scales, • Minor plumbing including but not limited to repairing leaks, minor pipe replacements, appliance repairs (washers/dryers, refrigerators, etc), • Repairs entrance and internal doors, locks, hinges, create keys and other operable hardware, • Snow removal and perimeter maintenance as required, • In a safe manner, start up, maintain, repair and shut down of building-wide equipment., • Perform basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical and HVAC work, • Service and perform daily and weekly maintenance on boiler, • Performs and records preventive and predictive maintenance on all MEP equipment and systems, • Observes/evaluates corrective maintenance or repair on equipment, • Perform apartment inspections prior to and upon resident move out to verify apartment condition and determine necessary repairs., • On call availability for emergencies and projects as assigned by the Property Manager / General Manager., • Perform and support the monthly or periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC,, • electrical distribution, structural, vertical transportation, roofs, and parapets. Complete required logs and prepare a detailed report of discrepancies and report up the chain of command., • Maintains all fire protection and security systems including required preventative maintenance, inspections, and documentation., • Inspect and test all emergency equipment as required to ensure compliance., • Request materials, tools, and supplies as needed., • Ensures highly efficient safety program, with emphasis on awareness, discipline, and compliance. Overall safety program to conform to OSHA standards, applicable building safety manual, and other safety venues as deemed appropriate., • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment., • Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of mechanical rooms and note repairs are noted and completed on a timely basis., • Manages spare and critical parts room inventory for MEP systems and appliances., • Emergency Response Team (Fire Brigade) – will assist and respond, as needed during a fire, non-fire, and medical, and/or other building related emergency events under the direction of the Lobby Concierge (Incident Commander)., • Locate, communicate and control small fires, • Knock on all tenant doors to inform residents of the emergency event and initiate relocation/evacuation as instructed by the Incident Commander., • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a maintenance department or facility., • Certification with FDNY as Fire Safety Director (FSD) (preferred)., • Certificate of Fitness S-12 Citywide Sprinkler System, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System (recommended)., • Candidate will be required to obtain Certificates within six months of hire, • OSHA 10 hour certificate of completion and Local 32BJ Training School courses (where course applies to residential operations and emergency response)., • Local 32 BJ handyperson course a plus., • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades. Must be able to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance., • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint., • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required., • Must have professional disposition and display willingness to assist residents with building maintenance requests / complete service requests., • Ability to resolve problems and adhere to safety guidelines., • Experience interacting with residents., • Dependable and reliable., • Experience in the use of Building Link and Log Check a plus., • Familiar with appliance troubleshooting and repairs., • Team player. Job Description Uncommon Schools is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician (Snr HVAC Tech) to join the charter network’s New Jersey Facilities team. This position provides an opportunity for an experienced HVAC technician with at least seven (7) years' relevant experience to work with a dedicated facilities group, deepen his/her technical skills, and help ensure that Uncommon provides well-maintained, comfortable, and safe educational facilities for our students and staff. Uncommon’s portfolio in New Jersey comprises buildings constructed from the very early 1900s through the early 2020s, operating HVAC systems dating from 1966 to the recent past few years. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities Management Team, the Senior HVAC Technician will perform all technical work necessary to inspect, maintain, repair, and modify HVAC system in our buildings. With expertise in HVAC – and to a lesser extent in construction and plumbing – in multi-family, schools, and commercial buildings, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor HVAC projects and managing larger ones and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The Snr HVAC Tech will partner with senior Facilities team members and outside consultants on the planning, coordination, and supervision of mechanical construction and repair activities implemented by outside vendors, will ensure project timelines are met and ensure quality control standards are followed, mentor junior staff, and handle all HVAC-related communication with stakeholders. As a member of the NJ Facilities Team, the Senior HVAC Technician will • maintain current knowledge of the National Standard HVAC Code and other applicable building codes and perform all facets of the HVAC trade in accordance with those codes and in a safe and effective manner, • diagnose problems with HVAC systems, evaluate solutions to remedy issues, and provide sound recommendations to supervisors, • in emergency situations take immediate steps to contain the problem and restore the system to sound working condition, • in emergency situations maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders to apprise them of steps being taken to address the issue, • troubleshoot and repair all HVAC type systems currently available in the market, • maintain records of corrective and preventive work assignments received through an automated work order system (currently SchoolDude, soon ZenDesk), • assist onsite Facilities Managers and General Maintenance Workers with work projects or special assignments, • respond to campus emergency calls after hours as needed, • perform other duties as assignedQualifications Required Technical Skills: • Significant journeyman-level HVAC experience along with the trade knowledge to effectively understand and perform all facets of the HVAC trade in accordance with the National Standard Plumbing Code and other applicable codes, • Strong background in commercial heating projects large and small, including hot water boilers and gas furnaces, • Ability to read as-built plans for all buildings in portfolio, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, cut sheets, layouts, technical manuals, schematic drawings, and other HVAC-related trade documents, • Advanced knowledge of BMS systems and system operations, • Ability to procure replacement parts as needed to make all necessary repairs, • Ability to properly and safely use the tools of the trade and carry out all tasks expected of a Snr.
