This Atlanta nursing job offers the chance to work in a vibrant urban neighborhood, ideal for healthcare professionals seeking top-tier clinical experience and city living.\n \n\nAtlanta CVICU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Midtown Atlanta, GA 30309 – a top destination for Georgia healthcare jobs\n, • Assignment Length: 12 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: March 30, 2026)\n, • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Setting: On-site Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), 42-bed unit\n, • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required\n, • Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed\n, • Orientation: 36 hours\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 – $1,940\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience (excluding travel experience)\n, • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n, • Experience with Epic EMR charting system\n, • Immediate post open heart surgical admission experience required\n, • Proficiency with Swan Ganz catheters, manual thermodilution syringe, and epicardial/transvenous pacing wires\n, • Preferred: Experience in community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I or II healthcare settings\n, • Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred\n\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver expert nursing care for adult and geriatric patients recovering from open heart surgery, heart transplants, and LVAD procedures\n, • Monitor and manage advanced cardiac devices: Swan Ganz catheters, epicardial/transvenous pacing wires, ventricular assist devices (LVAD/RVAD), and intra-aortic balloon pumps\n, • Assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, intubations, tracheostomies, and central/arterial line insertions\n, • Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more\n, • Float to other nursing units within scope of practice as needed\n We believe in empowering your career.
