American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/10/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in a high-volume Emergency Department within an acute care hospital, • 24-bed ER with fast track area and separate overflow/psych patient space, • Average daily census of 250 patient visits, • Patient ratios range from 2:1 to 4:1, • Uses Cerner EMR system, • 12-hour day shifts with flexibility required; shifts may include 7a, 9a, or 12p starts, • Weekend shifts required every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; may be required every weekend depending on staffing, • Holiday shifts are required and typically worked into rotation with permanent staff, • No floating to other units required, • One day of on-unit orientation provided, • Responsible for caring for a wide range of patients including cardiac, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, and behavioral health emergencies, • Main ER assignment; travelers primarily assigned to main ER rather than fast track, • Supported by ER techs, charge nurse, and in-house RT and pharmacy staff available 24/7, • Must wear blue scrubs while on duty, • Testing on dysrhythmia and sterile technique (Foley catheter and central line dressing) will be conducted during orientation; passing is required to maintain the assignment, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration, • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, • Trauma experience preferred, • Experience using Cerner EMR preferred, • Must provide references including one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility, • Copy of current driver’s license required, • Must not have been employed directly (FT, PT, PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past 12 months\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
