Job Description Registered Labor and Delivery Nurse - Salinas, CA Shift: Nights 3x12's (7p-7:30a) Contract length: 13 weeks Client: Natividad Medical Center Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 Weekly pay rate: $3000 ($1,981 in untaxed stipends, $1019 in taxable W-2 wages, $28.30 W-2 hourly) Minimum 2 years experience working in L&D setting. Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent. Will work 3-4 (12 hour) weekend shifts on a 28 day schedule. There is self-scheduling in Women’s Services and will be given to the staff first, then travelers. The Director and leaders will then balance the schedule based on experience and skill set. Charting: Meditech (PCS for L ORM - Surgical). OBIX for fetal surveillance system. WOWs are provided to each RN for charting; Medication Administration: Pyxis; IV Pumps: Solaris Scrubs: Scrubs are provided for travelers working in L&D. Orientation: Will accommodate start any day of the week. Will start in Human Resources and complete paperwork and obtain badge, next onto Occupational Health for Respiratory Fit Test and then will meet with Nursing Education to complete appropriate testing for their unit. All RNs will take a medication test the first day. After testing, will go to the unit to finish their shift with a Clinical Preceptor.
