Job Description Now Hiring: Talent Development Specialist - Seaside Location Start Date: ASAP Location: 1295 La Salle Ave, Seaside Ca 93955 Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour (DOE) Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Interview Type: In-person Requirements: Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance Length of Assignment: The Seaside positions have a potential to convert to permanent as well. About the Role Are you passionate about helping others discover their potential and achieve lasting success? As a Talent Development Specialist, you'll empower young adults to overcome barriers, develop new skills, and connect with meaningful career and education opportunities through the WIOA Youth program. You'll build relationships, guide participants toward self-sufficiency, and make a direct impact in your community-all while working near the beautiful Seaside coast. What You'll Do Assess participant eligibility and determine program fit for WIOA Youth services. Evaluate work history, education, and skills to create individualized career and education plans. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support job readiness, training, and employment success. Maintain accurate participant documentation in CalJOBS and internal systems, ensuring compliance and strong follow-up. Connect participants with training, education, and employment resources that match their goals. Partner with local employers and community organizations to create pathways to employment. Facilitate workshops, employer presentations, and job readiness sessions. Track outcomes and ensure program performance goals are met or exceeded. Collaborate with a supportive team that values innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning. What You Bring Associate degree (or equivalent work experience) in workforce development, education, social services, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in workforce development or similar programs preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills, with a passion for helping others succeed. Excellent customer service and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work well in a team and build rapport with diverse individuals and employers.
