Job DescriptionYou will be accountable for the performance of growing service operations, leading a team of field and office personnel while driving measurable improvements in efficiency, compliance, customer satisfaction and financial performance. This role requires strong operational judgment, attention to detail and the ability to manage both people and processes in a fast-paced service environment. This is not a desk-only position. The Operations Manager must be comfortable in the field and the office review performance metrics, walking job sites, coaching supervisors, resolve operational issues and ensuring work is executed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Success in this role requires balancing immediate operational demands with long-term planning and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with service leadership, finance, safety, and Executive Leadership to drive consistency, accountability, and performance across the organization. Your leadership will directly impact on how work is performed, how teams develop, and how customers experience. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day operations of fire sprinkler and fire alarm inspection, testing, and service activities, • Develop and manage service schedules, dispatching, and workload balancing, • Assist in coordinating emergency and after-hours service calls as required, • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to plan, monitor, and adjust divisional budgets and forecasts while supporting operational capacity and controlled growth, • Lead, mentor, and supervise assistant service manager, inspectors, technicians, and support staff, • Conduct performance evaluations, training assessments, and corrective actions, • Ensure technicians maintain required licenses, certifications (NICET, Backflow, Fire Pump) and continuing education, • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service issues and technical concerns, • Oversee the flow, accuracy and timeliness of inspection reports, deficiency notices and required documentation submitted to customers and AHJ., • Manage service department budgets, labor utilization, and operational costs, • Track KPIs including productivity, revenue, gross margin, and customer satisfaction, • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: · The California Fair Chance Act · Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance · Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers · San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
