Job Description Title: UX Designer Location: Carlsbad, CA or Remote Position Summary Hanwha Vision America (HVA) is an affiliate of the Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. HVA is an industry-leading provider of advanced network video surveillance products, including IP cameras, storage devices, and video management systems, founded on world-class technologies. HVA is seeking a UX Designer to help shape intuitive, scalable, and modern user experiences across our product portfolio. This role requires a strong design practitioner who is highly proficient in Figma and comfortable operating in a cross-functional product development environment using Jira and Confluence. The ideal candidate brings both strong core UX capabilities and a forward-looking mindset around AI including experience using AI to improve design efficiency and experience contributing to products that incorporate AI-driven capabilities into the end-user experience. Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end user experiences for web and platform-based products, from discovery through final delivery, • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma, • Contribute to and evolve design systems, component libraries, and reusable interaction patterns, • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and QA to translate requirements into clear and effective user experiences, • Document UX decisions, flows, design rationale, and requirements in Confluence, • Work within Jira to support backlog refinement, story definition, acceptance criteria alignment, and sprint execution, • Use AI tools to improve UX team efficiency, including ideation, research synthesis, content generation, prototyping support, and workflow acceleration, • Help define and design product experiences that incorporate AI capabilities, such as intelligent search, recommendations, automation, summarization, or other AI-assisted workflows, • Ensure AI-powered experiences are intuitive, useful, trustworthy, and aligned with user needs, • 5+ years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design, • Strong expertise in Figma, including components, auto layout, prototyping, and design systems, • Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence in a product development environment, • Demonstrated experience designing user flows and interfaces for complex digital products, • Experience using AI tools to improve design workflows and increase team efficiency, • Experience contributing to products or features that incorporate AI into the user experience, • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, and QA, • Experience designing for SaaS or enterprise software products, • Experience designing for video-based platforms, • Experience with AI-driven product patterns such as natural language interfaces, summarization, recommendations, or workflow automation, • Familiarity with user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements, • Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams in Agile environments, • Understanding of how to design responsible AI experiences, including transparency, control, and user trust The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
