Curriculum & Learning Environment • Implement an emergent curriculum grounded in CDE Standards for classrooms, with daily lesson plans that include indoor and outdoor activities, multicultural materials, and individualized approaches based on each child's needs and interests., • Design and maintain a classroom organized by developmental levels, with well-defined learning centers that rotate materials regularly to keep the environment stimulating and fresh., • Ensure the classroom is home-like, safe, sanitary, and thoughtfully arranged to support emotional security, sensory exploration, self-awareness, autonomy, and motor development., • Build secure, consistent relationships with preschool children through primary and continuity of care practices., • Engage with children in a calm, nurturing, and responsive manner, using appropriate guidance techniques at all times and remaining actively involved throughout the day., • Observe children and maintain anecdotal records, individual and group checklists, and conduct developmental screenings in accordance with program policies and procedures., • Greet families warmly and ensure smooth, positive daily transitions into the center., • Maintain ongoing professional communication with parents through a variety of methods and send home activities that extend learning and reinforce the curriculum., • Involve parents in all aspects of the classroom and encourage participation in workshops, training, and program activities., • Maintain accurate attendance records, food reports, in-kind reports, and all other required documentation., • Monitor classroom supply needs and submit requests to the Program Director when additional items are needed., • Participate in staff meetings, program training, and all program activities with a positive attitude., • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English., • Knowledge of California Department of Education standards, Desired Results, ECER, Title 22 and Title 5., • Experience implementing emergent or child-centered curriculum in a preschool setting., • Strong observational and documentation skills, including developmental screening experience., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with children, families, and colleagues. Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) • An Associates of Arts or Science (AA/AS) degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and a minimum of 24 ECE units and a Teacher Permit issued from CCTC. BA Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Master Teacher or higher permit preferred., • Minimum two years’ experience working with Children (ages 0-5 years), • Good oral and written communication skills, • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects., • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation., • Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things., • Able to resolve conflicts, gentle, loving, kind, creative and resourceful. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people. Excellent problem solving, planning, and organizational skills. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Criminal background clearance with (FBI, DOJ, and CAI), • Complete a physical examination, T.B. test, proof of immunization for (influenza, TDap, and MMR),, • Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States. If you fail to submit this proof, federal law prohibits us from hiring you., • Mandated Child Abuse Training completed within 14 days of employment
