Job DescriptionVideographer & Drone Operator Full-time Salary DOE Description: St. George News is seeking a full-time Videographer & Drone Operator to join our video production team. This position supports the creation of commercials, local news features, branded content, and original shows produced for St. George News. You'll work alongside other videographers and our editing team to capture high-quality footage using Sony mirrorless cameras, operate drones, and assist with video, lighting, and audio setup on location and in studio. The role also includes light editing in Adobe Premiere. The ideal candidate is collaborative, creative, and takes pride in contributing strong visuals that support the success of the entire production team. Some training will be provided. Skills: • Experience shooting on Sony mirrorless cameras (A7III preferred), • FAA Part 107 drone license and practical drone experience, • Ability to set up and operate lighting and audio equipment, • Strong understanding of composition and camera movement, • Light editing experience in Adobe Premiere (After Effects a plus), • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with equipment setup and teardown, • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a team environment Immediate Opening. Job DescriptionSalary: OSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a skilled Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in capturing high-quality video content, possess strong editing skills, and be able to tell a compelling visual story. The videographer will work closely with our creative team to produce videos that meet our company's objectives and resonate with our audience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities for this role. Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops videos for marketing campaigns, email/website promotions, or other purposes. Creates schedules, develops scripts, and selects locations or talent. Directs and films projects, overseeing the work of light and sound staff; coordinates with outside vendors as needed. Performs post-production editing. Maintains files of projects. Arranges for the repair and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Plan and set up video shoots, including lighting and audio equipment. Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos. Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts. Manage video archives and organize footage. Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices. Operate and maintain video equipment. Conduct interviews and capture b-roll footage, as needed. Handle live streaming for events. Travel and Time Requirements: Occasional travel up to 25%, along with working evenings and weekends as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Requires a bachelor's degree in film, media, and 2 to 4 years of experience., • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro., • Performs work under general supervision., • Handles moderately complex issues and problems., • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter., • Oral and written communication skills., • Ability to meet deadlines., • Detail oriented., • Organizational skills., • Planning skills., • Ability to work as part of a team., • Leadership skills.
