Job DescriptionAre you a hands-on leader with a passion for streamlining operations and guiding teams to success?APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Newark, NJ looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be overseeing all warehouse operations, including inventory management, staff supervision and coordination with vendors. Keep reading for more details!What’s in it for you: • Day shift hours Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (Some Saturdays 7:00am-3:00pm), • Competitive hourly rate at $25/hr depending on experience, • Direct Hire position - you'll be hired directly with our client!, • Amazing benefit package once hired in permanently, • Medical, Dental and Vision, • 401K, • Paid vacationWhat your day will look like:, • Lead and actively support the warehouse team through hands-on coaching and supervision., • Train and manage warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency and skill development., • Oversee scheduling of logistics operations, including personnel, from receiving to delivery., • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers., • Monitor and document performance metrics for service providers., • Confirm receipt of cables and organize inventory in the warehouse accordingly., • Manage inventory control, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation standards., • Provide management with updates on operational performance and address any ongoing issues., • Ensure all service commitments (quantity, quality, and timing) are met consistently., • Implement and enforce strict security measures to protect cable and equipment at every stage., • Schedule outbound deliveries to minimize transportation costs while optimizing routes., • Reinforce and maintain safety protocols to create a secure work environment., • Safeguard equipment and cable to prevent damage and injuries., • Adhere to safety regulations, environmental policies, and labor laws., • Assist in developing job protocols and ensure staff adherence., • Develop, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency., • Use KPI data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement., • Drive continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and reduce operational costs.What we are looking for:, • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field, • 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience, • Strong project management, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, • Knowledge of industry practices, costs, and terminology, • Trusted team leader with ability to build cross-functional collaboration, • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and passing a fitness test, • Forklift experience with ability to pass internal certificationAt Apex, we actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
