Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse and Food Manufacturing AssociateJob Description This role supports a busy food manufacturing facility by performing warehouse and production-related tasks, including inventory handling, order picking and packing, shipping and receiving, and safe operation of powered industrial equipment. You work closely with ERP systems and RF scanners to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure efficient movement of materials within a cold storage environment. Responsibilities • Handle daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and finished products., • Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners and ERP systems., • Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and ride-on pallet jacks to move pallets and materials safely., • Load and unload trucks at the loading dock, ensuring proper documentation and verification through the ERP system., • Perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts, to maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels., • Palletize products and apply shrink wrap to secure loads for storage and shipment., • Assist with general labor and material handling tasks in support of food manufacturing and food production operations., • Use RF scanners to track product movement and update inventory in the ERP system in real time., • Follow established procedures for packaging and labeling products in a food manufacturing environment., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to facility safety and quality standards., • Work comfortably and efficiently in cold environments, including frozen food storage areas., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping schedules.Essential Skills, • Previous experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment., • Proficiency with ERP systems for inventory control, shipping, and receiving., • Experience working on a loading dock, including loading and unloading trucks., • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and ride-on pallet jacks., • Comfort working in cold environments, including frozen food storage areas., • Hands-on experience with pallet jack operation and general material handling., • Practical knowledge of inventory control processes, including cycle counts., • Experience with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing., • Ability to perform picking, packing, and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently., • Experience with shipping and receiving activities in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Frozen food handling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred., • Background in food manufacturing or food production operations., • Experience with warehouse inventory management and documentation., • Knowledge of pallatizing techniques and shrink wrap application for secure shipments., • Comfort performing general labor tasks as needed to support production and warehouse operations.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay Shore, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
