Job DescriptionThe Role Madison Energy is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Commercial Analysis team, supporting investment decisions, financial modeling, and commercial strategy across our renewable energy portfolio. The appropriate level will be determined based on the candidate's experience and background. The Analyst / Senior Analyst will work closely with business development, investment, and operations teams to evaluate market opportunities, assess risk, and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. This role is well-suited for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to disciplined capital deployment in the growing renewable energy sector. Responsibilities Investment & Market Analysis • Evaluate investment opportunities across renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and energy storage, • Build, maintain, and refine financial models for renewable generation, standalone storage, and hybrid projects, • Support investment underwriting, project valuation, and scenario analysis using market forecasts and key commercial assumptions, • Assist with diligence for project acquisitions and new development opportunities, • Support commercial strategy related to offtake structures, market participation, and risk management, • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field, • Analyst: 0–2 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, investment analysis, financial modeling, energy consulting, or a related field, • Senior Analyst: 2+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, investment analysis, financial modeling, energy consulting, or a related field, • Strong financial modeling skills and comfort working with large datasets, • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools preferred, • Experience with or exposure to renewable energy transactions, offtake agreements, or project finance, • Familiarity with U.S. wholesale electricity markets and ISO/RTO market structures, • Intellectual rigor and attention to detail, • Ownership mentality and accountability, • Collaborative, cross-functional mindset, • Comfort operating in evolving and imperfect market environments, • Genuine interest in renewable energy and its role in the energy transitionBenefits, • PTO and company holidays, • Medical, dental, vision, • Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, • 401(k) and company match, • Professional development stipend, • Strong culture of collaboration, performance, and personal growth$90,000 - $120,000 a yearThe actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience and location.How We WorkAt Madison Energy Infrastructure, we believe in the power of clean energy infrastructure to drive real impact—for our customers, our partners, and the communities we serve.
