Program/Department Description: Community Access’s OMH licensed Intensive Crisis Residence (ICR) is inspired by the Soteria model and is designed as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization for people going through an acute psychiatric crisis and who would benefit from a respite period in a stabilizing, home-like environment with 24-hour peer support and treatment services. The Soteria ICR will work with guests for up to 28 days to help them develop awareness and skills that will allow them to return to the community with an increased ability to manage their mental health concerns. The ICR will follow a Soteria model which emphasizes shared running of a home-like environment, positive expectations of recovery, validation of subjective experiences, the concept of “being with” a person, providing 1:1 support, 24 hours a day, and self-determination. In addition to providing weekly emotional support, Coaches help young people make progress toward their academic, career development, housing/independent living, and other life goals. When a young person is unsure of their goals/interests, Coaches help them explore and expose them to potential opportunities. They then help young people connect to schools, programs, and opportunities that align with their goals/interests, encourage persistence in those settings, and plan/prepare for the next step on their journey. Coaches celebrate young people’s progress; if something doesn’t work out, Coaches help young people reflect and connect to the next opportunity. Responsibilities of the Sales Field Representative: • Primarily work from home and serve as a central point of contact for their assigned areas, and will play a key role in developing relationships with retailers and educating store and consumers., • Visit various grocery stores to meet with store managers, dairy managers, and product demonstration personnel. May include several multi-day trips to other states or areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coaching and guidance to scholar-athletes in a specific sport and helping them to develop their skills and achieve their potential. This is a part-time position that will require availability during afternoon and evening hours and on weekends. Key Responsibilities: * Follows the administrative procedures established by Capital Preparatory Schools as published in the Athletics Policies and Procedures Manual and all policies and procedures applicable to CPS athletics. * Develops and implements practice plans for scholar-athletes in a specific sport to ensure conditioning and training so that scholar-athletes are physically prepared for competition; * Provides individualized coaching and instruction to improve technique, physical fitness, and overall performance to maximize performance; * Communicate effectively with scholar-athletes, parents, and other coaches regarding team expectations, schedules, and progress; * Schedules regular practices and attend and supervise all team practices, games, and events, both home and away; * Promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes among scholar-athletes; * Maintains equipment, uniforms, accurate records, and statistics for team performance, as required by the CPS network; * Enters grades for all scholar-athletes; * Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations of the league and the end of season checklist. * Willingness to fundraise; * Enforces team travel standards for behavior and appropriate dress. * Oversees training and care of scholar-athletes * For Head Coach, selects, supervises, and provides guidance to assistant coaches while monitoring and ensuring their professional development. * For Head Coach, conducts a performance evaluation for full-time and/or part-time assistant coach (es). * Performs any and all duties as may be assigned by Administration. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports science, or related field preferred; high school diploma required. * Active certification to coach in the State of NY. * Experience coaching at the high school level, with a focus on skill development and player improvement * Strong knowledge of the sport, including current strategies, techniques, and trends. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire scholar-athletes. * Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and staff members. * Valid CPR/First Aid, concussions, Certification in CPR and first aid * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to obtain passenger endorsement on license and an excellent driving record. * The position requires weekends, afternoon/evenings, and travel. Compensation: This is a part-time position, paid by stipend, that may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and physical activity, and requires lifting, carrying, and moving heavy equipment.
