Technical Sales Manager Cosmetic Ingredients / Botanical Extracts / Technical Sales / APAC / Distributor Management Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical sales, consultative client management, and distributor development across the assigned Asia Pacific region. You will promote and sell natural active ingredients and botanical extracts for the cosmetic industry, working closely with distributors, clients, and internal teams to achieve and exceed commercial objectives. You will join an international environment within a solid and leading company in the cosmetic ingredients sector. The position requires a strong scientific background, excellent commercial and communication skills, and the ability to translate technical product value into business opportunities across different markets. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in technical sales within cosmetic ingredients, strong scientific credibility, excellent English communication skills, and availability to travel internationally. Experience managing distributors is especially important, while previous people management experience is not mandatory, as this role may offer the opportunity to manage one Technical Sales Representative. Experience and Education: • University degree in Life Sciences or a related field, such as Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or similar., • Postgraduate studies or PhD will be highly valued., • Minimum 5 years of experience in the cosmetic industry or cosmetic ingredients sector., • Strong preference for candidates coming from the ingredients industry, especially active ingredients, botanical extracts, or related cosmetic raw materials., • Strong scientific background and ability to communicate technical concepts with credibility., • Experience in technical or consultative sales within international markets., • Previous experience managing distributors is required., • Experience in the Asia Pacific region is not mandatory, provided the candidate has strong ingredients experience, excellent English, and willingness to travel., • If the candidate comes from a less strategic or less differentiated ingredient category, previous APAC market knowledge will be especially valuable., • Experience leading or mentoring international sales teams will be valued, but direct people management experience is not mandatory., • Fluent English, written and spoken, ideally C1 level or equivalent. Other foreign languages will be valued. Main Responsibilities: • Manage, plan, and monitor sales performance, commercial indicators, and sales policies within the assigned APAC region., • Define, together with the direct manager, the commercial strategy and action plan for clients and distributors, including visit plans, communications, meetings, and product presentations., • Ensure the execution of the commercial action plan across the assigned markets., • Prepare sales forecasts for the assigned markets and assess competitor activity., • Increase customer satisfaction and key account retention through consultative and technical sales with existing and potential clients and distributors., • Coordinate product launches, promotions, and services within the assigned region., • Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and industry events., • Prepare and negotiate collaboration proposals, including sales conditions, pricing, and contractual terms., • Follow up on proposals and commercial agreements to ensure successful execution., • Ensure a smooth after-sales process through incident resolution and compliance with agreed sales conditions., • Collaborate in the training of distributors and their sales teams across the region., • Manage one Technical Sales Representative for the APAC region., • Prepare commercial reports including client and product needs, achieved sales, deviation analysis, corrective actions, and business proposals., • Maintain CRM and ERP systems with complete and updated data, ensuring pipeline hygiene and rigorous qualification., • Work cross-functionally with marketing, customer care, R&D, and other departments to improve the value proposition, product availability, and service levels. Current Regional Revenue Volume: Approximately €2M–€5M. Team: 1 manager + 7 Technical Sales professionals. This role may manage 1 Technical Sales Representative.
