The Role of Cook : The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Cook to join our team. The Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Cook prepares breakfast, lunch an/or dinner per guest orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven. Maintain a clean and efficient station. Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies Determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up Returns all food items not used to designated storage areas. Manage and prioritize tasks by shift. Our Ideal Cook will have : Our ideal Cook candidate have excellents teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required. The Cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all pastry shop equipment. Applicants also are required to have a trade apprenticeship or other form of register training in the culinary discipline. It is required minimum two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar. Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations is required. Position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hrs per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg. Applicants also are needed to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish is also required. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish. Sobre el puesto: Four Seasons Hotel Madrid está buscando un/a Ayudante/a de Cocina para unirse a nuestro equipo. El/La Ayudante/a de Cocina es un/a miembro/a esencial del equipo de Comidas y Bebidas, dedicado/a a proporcionar un servicio excepcional y de máxima calidad a nuestros/as huéspedes. El/La Ayudante/a de Cocina ayuda a preparar el desayuno, comida y/o cena de los/las clientes/as de acuerdo con los estándares de producción y calidad, manteniendo asimismo un entorno de trabajo limpio y seguro. Lo que harás: Manipulación de alimentos conforme a los estándares de calidad, siguiendo las peticiones del/de la cliente/a. Operar, mantener y limpiar de manera adecuada el equipamiento de cocina, incluyendo picadora, mezcladora y/o horno. Mantener el espacio de trabajo limpio y ordenado. Contar con sólidos conocimientos de los códigos de sanidad y un entendimiento completo de todos los tipos de corte. Contribuir a la trazabilidad de los recipientes de comida. La posición de Commis requiere operar, mantener y limpiar adecuadamente todo el equipamiento de repostería. Formación Profesional relacionada con Restauración. Experiencia previa en cocina (recomendable, aunque no imprescindible). Conocimiento básico de útiles y sistemas de cocina. Condición física para permanecer de pie durante 8 horas y capacidad para levantar al menos 30 kg. Se valorará positivamente el conocimiento de inglés. Disponibilidad horaria flexible, con posibilidad de trabajar fines de semana y festivos. Documentación en regla para trabajar en España y fluidez en español.
