Would you like to contribute to this as Operations Assistant in one of our Residences in Barcelona? We are looking for a dynamic, versatile operations assistant, who is eager to join two of our best student residence with more than 200 rooms combined and the activity this entails. You will be working in an educational environment, with an exclusive package of services and accommodation in an exceptional location. Your responsibilities: • You are the (first) face of our reception at the student residence, • You take care of our customer service; you help students at the counter, by mail, and over the phone, • You manage reservations and therefore the check-in and check-out process. You provide our students with the necessary keys and cards, • You accompany visitors and future clients during open days, a tour of the facilities, etc., • You support the administration office, • You monitor the building and take care of coordination between the different departments (cleaning, catering, maintenance & gardening), • You apply the necessary protocols in emergencies Your working conditions: • Fixed-term contract for a minimum of 6 months (temporary replacement contract). 40h a week., • Rotating morning or afternoon shifts from Monday to Sunday, with 2 days off per week., • Salary of 1.800€ gross per month, • You will be working in Barcelona: Xior Paseo de Gracia. This is a structured 8–12 month development programme designed for hospitality students in their third year of studies or above who are ready to gain hands-on operational experience and prepare for their first leadership role. What You'll Do: Throughout the programme, you'll rotate across our Front Office and Housekeeping departments, working alongside experienced leaders and gaining exposure to the day-to-day management of one of our largest hubs. Front Office Operations Deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout the guest journey. Learn the daily operation of a busy Front Office. Manage guest requests, service recovery and problem-solving. Coordinate arrivals, departures and room allocations. Support upselling initiatives and revenue opportunities. Participate in daily operational briefings and shift leadership. Housekeeping Operations Learn how to manage room inventory and productivity. Conduct room quality inspections. Coordinate room readiness with Front Office. Monitor cleanliness and brand standards. Support preventive maintenance and quality improvement initiatives. Work closely with external contractors and suppliers. Leadership & Hotel Operations Participate in management meetings. Learn workforce planning and operational scheduling. Analyse operational KPIs and guest satisfaction. Support departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Be part of a team where: The Applications Developer, working closely with the Software Developer Manager and the Technology team, contributes to the development and maintenance of a highly customised NetSuite environment. This includes workflows, custom records, and JavaScript based automation (SuiteScript) that power core business operations. The role is centred on engineering and continuous improvement: designing and delivering scripts and automations, enhancing existing workflows, ensuring safe deployments, and keeping the system stable and scalable. Day to day user support is handled by an external provider, allowing you to focus on technical implementation and automation. You will also contribute to the evolution of an internal applications agent that helps users self serve common requests, reducing manual work across the organisation.
