The Qualitas Energy team consists of c.560 professionals across fifteen offices in Madrid, Berlin, London, Milan, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne, Stuttgart, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Santiago, Durham, Bristol, and Edinburgh. As part of Qualitas Energy’s growth strategy, we are looking to incorporate a Finance Controller. Main responsibilities: Oversee the full accounting and financial administration of investment vehicles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / local GAAP as applicable). Manage fund-level reporting, including NAV calculation, capital accounts, capital calls, distributions…. Coordinate quarterly and annual financial statements preparation in collaboration with external fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and legal advisors. Monitor fund cash flow, liquidity planning, and treasury operations. Supervise management fee calculations and ensure proper allocation of expenses across funds and SPVs. Lead the management of funding requests from portfolio companies and projects, performing detailed financial analysis of the Investment Committee (IC) materials that support each request. Review and validate IC documentation to ensure alignment between approved investment terms, budget assumptions, funding milestones, and actual capital deployment. Coordinate the execution of approved funding requests, including capital calls (if required), internal approvals, and cash disbursements. Track project-level capital deployment against approved IC budgets and escalate deviations where necessary. Support the investment team on transaction structuring from a fund accounting and financial perspective. Lead audit processes at fund level and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting obligations across jurisdictions. Improve internal controls, reporting processes, and financial systems related to fund administration. Collaborate closely with international finance teams to ensure alignment and best practices across vehicles. Experience and requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 5–8 years of relevant experience in private equity, fund administration, asset management, or audit (Big Four experience is a strong plus). Proven experience in fund and private equity structures (LP/GP structures, SPVs, waterfalls, carried interest). Strong understanding of financial statements, and valuation principles. Experience coordinating external auditors and service providers. Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund administration systems Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic and international environment. Proactive, hands-on profile with strong ownership mindset. Excellent communication skills (English is a must).
