The Opportunity: My client, a fast paced specialist service business are looking to recruit a proactive and motivated HR Advisor to join our supportive HR team initially on a 12-month fixed term basis. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across a wide range of HR activities while helping to shape our people agenda during an exciting growth phase. As an experienced HR Advisor, you’ll be a key point of contact for managers across the business, providing first-line advice and guidance on a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, settlements, and policy queries. This role offers a rare opportunity to gain fantastic exposure across a variety of HR initiatives and transformation projects, supporting our journey to strengthen culture, engagement, and organisational effectiveness. This is a hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with managers and employees, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive employee experience. You’ll be part of a collaborative, close-knit HR team who will support your development and encourage you to make a real impact. Key Responsibilities: • Provide HR advice to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, and settlements, • Support the implementation of HR policies and processes, ensuring compliance and best practice, • Work with managers on organisational change initiatives, including restructures and transformation projects, • Contribute to key people initiatives such as employee engagement, management development, and benefits programmes, • Support policy updates and the continuous improvement of HR practices, • Partner with managers to build capability and confidence in handling people matters, • Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver an excellent HR service across the business Ideal candidate: We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’ll bring: • Experience in a generalist HR role, with solid grounding in employee relations, • Confidence in advising managers on HR policies, disciplinaries, and settlements, • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships, • Strong organisational skills and a willingness to get involved in a variety of projects, • Previous experience supporting restructures or organisational change would be advantageous, • A genuine interest in developing your HR expertise as part of a supportive team, • You will need to be available at short notice ( max 4 weeks’ notice ) and happy to be onsite 2/3 days a week.
