We are a mobile small animal veterinary clinic based from south Manchester - covering the local area offering consultations, vaccinations and surgery on the client’s doorstep. We’re seeking a friendly, reliable and organized receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. We’re seeking a full time receptionist (4 x 10 hour days). Work is carried out from our central office in Trafford Park and would entail answering customer queries over the phone, email and social media, receiving deliveries and admin work. Very occasionally clients may visit to collect medications or ashes. This means a less stressful workload as you are not having to deal with answering the phone and with face to face customers at the same time. It does however mean you will be on your own for the majority of the time as we are out visiting clients, so you must be self motivated to keep working to a high standard with minimal supervision. We want to offer the best customer service possible. We aim to offer high quality veterinary care while keeping the stress for our patients to an absolute minimum. We can offer reduced stress and a supportive work environment, a competitive salary, starting from £27k for four 10 hour days/week, 5 weeks holidays, and employee discounts on treatment/food. Working in cold atmosphere (the workplace is in a temperature controlled at 5 degrees) Standing for long period of time and being able to record information on regulatory documents accurately Record information on regulatory documents accurately Ensure all Health & Safety responsibilities are discharged and to maintain compliance with best practice and legal requirements Carry out such other duties which may be required from time to time Maintain ongoing compliance Flexible and available according to operation needs. Required Skills and Experience The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge and use of the following essential skills: Reliable, conscientious with an eye for detail. Physically fit as job requires long hours of standing. Enthusiastic and flexible approach. Capable of working independently. Resilient with the ability to work under pressure.
