Accounts Assistant Location Blaby, Leicestershire Salary: £30,000- £35,000 Full-Time | Permanent I am currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing business supporting three umbrella companies. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple workloads across different entities. The successful candidate will work closely with Directors and senior management, supporting the day-to-day finance function while ensuring accurate financial processing and administration. Key Responsibilities • Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and general accounts administration across three companies, • Completing daily and weekly bank reconciliations, • Managing paper invoices and preparing documentation for Director approval/sign-off, • Supporting the finance function with accurate record keeping and financial administration, • Working with Sage and Xero systems to maintain financial data, • Assisting with payment runs and supplier account management, • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries, • Maintaining organised digital and paper filing systems, • Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and Directors where required, • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting support Requirements • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role, • Experience using Sage and/or Xero, • Strong understanding of invoice processing and bank reconciliations, • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, • Comfortable working across multiple businesses/entities simultaneously, • Confident communicating with Directors and senior stakeholders, • Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills, • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Desirable • AAT qualification or working towards finance qualifications, • Experience within SMEs or multi-company environments, • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles What’s on Offer • Permanent, stable opportunity within a growing business, • Supportive working environment, • Varied role with exposure across multiple companies, • Opportunity to develop within the finance function, • Monday–Friday working hours
