Key Responsibilities: • File Management: Opening and closing files, conducting initial ID and Money Laundering (AML) checks., • Search Management: Ordering and reviewing local authority, environmental, and drainage searches., • Client Liaison: Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, estate agents, and mortgage brokers to provide status updates., • Post-Exchange/Completion: Preparing completion statements, handling Land Registry applications (AP1s), and dealing with SDLT submissions., • Document Preparation: Drafting contracts, transfers, and mortgage deeds under supervision., • Administrative Support: Managing calendars, organizing digital files, and ensuring all compliance deadlines are met. Requirements: • Minimum 1-2 years of experience within a residential conveyancing department., • Proficiency in Case Management Systems (CMS) and the Land Registry portal., • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; you should be able to explain complex processes in simple terms., • The ability to manage a high volume of files without letting details slip through the cracks., • Attitude: A "can-do" approach and the resilience to handle the pre-completion "Friday rush."
