Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Leader to join the Neonatal Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.We are looking for an experienced, motivated nurse to provide leadership and management for the Neonatal Unit, being responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality compassionate care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will lead the team to deliver excellent clinical and emotional care to our patients and parents/careers.Main duties of the jobThe Ward Leader will provide professional leadership which enables the delivery of high quality, safe and person-centred care through the engagement and empowerment of others.Will be responsible for managing the clinical area/department in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective clinical care while ensuring the best use of available resources in line with area/ward/departmental budgets.Have responsibility for the workforce, service delivery, clinical quality and safety on the ward, thus ensuring that quality standards are met and performance achieved.Be responsible for the delivery and performance of all nursing and nursing support staff working on the ward, ensuring compliance with standards of care and treatment.
