An Opportunity to Lead and Grow Your Own Service We are offering a unique opportunity for an experienced residential care professional to step into a leadership role with genuine autonomy, development, and long-term progression. This role is suited to an individual currently working within children’s or adult residential care who is ready to take the next step—moving beyond traditional management into a position where they can lead, shape, and grow a service with the support of an established provider. You will take full responsibility for a new supported accommodation service, operating as a branch of a well-established organisation with strong local authority relationships and a proven track record. About the Role This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the full development and day-to-day running of the service. You will be supported with systems, processes, and mentorship, while being given the autonomy to lead the service and build a strong, values-driven team. The service will initially operate as 16+ supported accommodation, with a clear pathway to develop part of the service into a registered children’s home. This creates a natural progression for you to develop into a Registered Manager role as the service grows and regulatory requirements are met. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the service, ensuring high standards of care and positive outcomes for young people, • Oversee referrals, placements, and transitions into the service, • Recruit, develop, and manage a staff team aligned with the values and expectations of the service, • Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and relevant regulations, • Monitor quality, safeguarding, and performance across the service, • Build and maintain positive working relationships with local authorities and commissioners, • Autonomy with Support – Run your own service while being backed by an experienced provider, • Structured Mentorship – Ongoing support from a dedicated mentor to guide you through both operational and strategic aspects, • Clear Progression – Opportunity to progress into a Registered Manager position as the service develops, • Business Development Experience – Gain exposure to growing a service, managing occupancy, and building local partnerships, • Profit Share Model – A performance-based structure that rewards you as the service grows and succeeds We are seeking someone who: • Has experience in residential care (children’s or adults’), • Is confident leading teams and making decisions independently, • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and quality standards, • Is motivated by the opportunity to develop and lead a service, • Can build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders A Different Kind of Management Role This is more than a standard management position.
