Quality Engineer Location: Oldbury, West Midlands Salary: £50,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Thursday – 8:00am to 5:00pm | Friday – 8:00am to 1:30pm We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our client's team in Oldbury. Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer: As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading all quality-related processes to support both customer and production requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Customer and Internal Concern Resolution: Proactively addressing quality issues and ensuring effective resolutions., • Auditing: Conducting internal audits of systems, processes, and products to ensure compliance and continual improvement., • NPI Support: Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) quality requirements., • Internal Training: Delivering training on quality-related topics to ensure the team meets required quality standards., • Audit Support: Assisting with both customer and supplier audits as necessary., • Investigation Leadership: Leading root cause investigations using the 8D methodology to resolve quality concerns., • Reporting: Generating and distributing key quality reports to stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring timely closure of issues., • Driving Improvements: Identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations. Accountabilities as a Quality Engineer: • Ensure internal audits are completed on time as per the audit plan., • Lead 8D investigations and ensure timely closure of reports., • Maintain process adherence and quality compliance at all times., • Ensure all quality data and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner., • Ensure all associates are aware of the required quality standards and are adequately trained. Technical Skill Requirements: • IATF16949 Internal Auditor certification is essential (Second Party Auditor experience is a plus)., • 5+ years of First-Tier Automotive supply experience is highly desirable., • Strong knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)., • In-depth knowledge and experience in using 8D methodology for root cause analysis., • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)., • Experience in Coatings manufacturing environments is an advantage., • Proven experience working with Automotive OEM’s and CSR’s.
