We are seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Analyst, reporting to the Cyber Threat Intelligence Lead. The successful candidate will join two existing Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Analysts. Job description As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Analyst, on a day-to-day basis you will identify, analyse, and provide actionable insights on emerging cyber threats or vulnerabilities that could impact the department. You will conduct research to create various actionable intelligence products, such as a weekly threat report distributed to hundreds of HMRC staff. Amongst other duties, you will also contribute to monitoring our Threat Intelligence Platform for effective threat feed ingestion and represent Cyber Threat Intelligence capabilities at cross-government forums. Labour Market Supplement (LMS) of £10,000 may be payable to suitably qualified candidates, although if these are not met there will be opportunity to work towards it as part of the annual Personal Development Plan (PDP). Person specification • Scope and understand the current and future threat landscape for HMRC, its people, and platforms., • Deliver accurate, timely and professionally produced actionable intelligence outputs that are reflective of tactical, operational, and strategic considerations., • Conduct analysis and assessment on threat intelligence emanating from multiple sources., • Liaise closely with colleagues across other Cyber Security Delivery (CSD) functions to inform threat-focused outputs and joint-working efforts., • Support efforts to drive towards increased automation and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate., • Experience drawing upon intelligence gathered from multiple sources to create actionable professional products., • Experience carrying out investigations or employing analytical approaches, using technical data or other forms of intelligence., • Advanced research skills, particularly in relation to open source., • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) across a range of outputs, from longform through to presentations., • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously., • Certifications such as GCTI (GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence), CRTIA (CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst), or equivalent., • Experience working in an intelligence or law enforcement environment in a cyber-specific role or remit., • Familiarity with intelligence tools and platforms like MISP, Cyjax, Flashpoint, Silobreaker, etc., • Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence models and frameworks like the Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK, etc., • Cyber Threat Intelligence - experience with SIEM, • Pension - We make contributions to our colleagues' Alpha pension equal to at least 28.97% of their salary., • Family friendly policies., • Personal support., • A name-blind CV including your job history and previous experience of up to your last 3 roles, 200 words per role.
