George Northwood Salon Receptionist WHO WE ARE/OVERVIEW Since its launch in 2014, George Northwood's popularity has soared, having been included in countless ‘Best Salon’ round ups published by Vogue, The Telegraph, The Times and many more. We are now seeking a receptionist to join our growing team at our Fitzrovia salon. You will be responsible for handing our clients' journeys from beginning to end, from booking appointments to managing the calendar and processing payments. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for our diverse and interesting clientele. You will currently work as a receptionist or front of house in hospitality, you will be interested in fashion, and a great communicator looking to become part of high performing but fun and kind team, at the forefront of the London hair scene. THE ROLE We are looking for a Front of House Receptionist with key responsibilities to ensure that the highest levels of organisation, communication and customer service are delivered to both our clients and stylists at all times and via every communication channel. You will have the opportunity to gain excellent hands-on experience in a fast-paced salon environment. As Receptionist, you will work alongside one other Receptionist and you will be jointly accountable for the efficient and consistent support of the George Northwood team. You will provide essential assistance and support to our valued clients as well as liaising with the GN team members. You will maintain the columns for the Salon’s stylists and colourists using SalonIQ (we provide training), booking their time in a way that is logical and maximises the efficient running of their day. DUTIES • Provide an exceptional Front of House service, meeting and greeting clients, cloakroom, checking in/out and communicating client arrivals to stylists punctually., • Create and manage bookings/cancellations for all three salon locations and stylists., • Respond to customer enquiries in several ways (Email, Telephone, In-person)., • Provide information with regards to products/services and other related enquiries., • Keep all systems (Outlook, SalonIQ) organised and up-to-date., • Process payments and manage the till accurately., • Coordinate stylists availability, optimising the appointment calendar to maximise productivity., • Efficiently handle multiple tasks at once, from answering calls to managing check-ins, ensuring that clients’ needs are met., • Resolving any customer issues in a tactful and intelligent way., • Ensuring the Front Desk looks neat and tidy., • Being a professional representative of the brand at all times., • Adapt quickly to last-minute changes in the schedule or unforeseen issues whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner., • A flexible attitude and excellent time management skills are essential - there will be occasions when working out of office or salon hours is required., • Experienced in reception and customer service (minimum of 1 year), preferably in a salon/beauty/fashion or high-end hospitality environment., • Fluent in English., • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication., • Skilled in listening., • Proficient in the use of telephone and IT systems., • Able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment., • Knowledgeable of hair terminology and services (cutting and styling, colour, products)., • Able to exceed clients' expectations., • Confident and articulate., • Hardworking and passionate., • An approachable manner. Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday – 9am to 6pm Location: Primarily London W1 with potential responsibilities at other London salons. Job Type: Permanent Role * NOTE: Proven success in a Receptionist and Front of House role is essential.
