Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant childcare team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily care, supervision, and educational activities of children within the nursery setting. You will work closely with other staff to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow and develop. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and delivering a range of creative, developmental, and educational activities for children. - Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment, adhering to nursery policies and procedures. - Support children in their personal, social, and emotional development, fostering positive relationships with both children and parents. - Observe and record children's progress, helping to identify and meet their developmental needs. - Help with feeding, changing, and personal hygiene of children as required. - Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nursery setting. - Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on their child's day. - Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure a smooth and effective nursery operation. Qualifications & Skills: - Experience working with young children, ideally in a nursery or early years setting. - A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (preferred but not essential). - Understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a caring nature. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - A proactive and flexible approach to work.
