    Apple Care is a family-oriented company looking to recruit a Children’s Senior Care Practitioner for our therapeutic home.We started as foster carers in 2004 and, after a decade of fostering, identified gaps in the care system where the well-being of children and young people was not always prioritized. We are dedicated to making a positive impact and providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment where children feel loved and cared for. At Apple Care Group, we specialize in working with children and young people aged 8-18 who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse, and who may face emotional and behavioral difficulties. Responsibilities: • Lead shifts by coordinating Residential Care Practitioners and managing shift events., • Ensure risks are safely managed in line with company policies and procedures., • Effectively communicate with the incoming staff team, providing a thorough account of the previous shift., • Act as the case holder for designated children while supporting allocated Key Workers., • Prepare written reports and documentation reflecting the progress of adolescents for planning meetings and reviews., • Set up, coordinate, and review children’s files, care plans, risk assessments, behavior management plans, healthcare documentation, and more., • Ensure the health and safety of all children, staff, and visitors during your shift, and report hazards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act., • Undertake relevant training to enhance your role., • Attend staff meetings and act as a positive role model for children during meetings., • Contribute to direct work sessions (both individual and group) to achieve optimal outcomes for the children., • Address behavioral challenges from adolescents in a calm, non-confrontational, and constructive manner., • Contribute to educational meetings for the young people. Salary: £14 - £16 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. Working Hours (Shift Work): Long days, Early, Late, and Sleeps. Requirements: • Enhanced DBS check., • Must be aged 21 or over., • Full Driving Licence and able to drive (Preferable)
