The Registered Manager will hold overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and day-to-day running of the children’s home. You will ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children and young people can thrive. As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will be accountable for regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and delivering the highest standards of care. You will inspire, lead, and develop a dedicated team, ensuring that all practice promotes the welfare, growth, and independence of each child. • Provide strong, visible leadership and overall management of the home in line with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards., • Ensure safeguarding procedures are robustly followed and embedded across all aspects of care provision., • Maintain regulatory compliance, including preparation for and participation in Ofsted inspections, Regulation 44 and 45 processes, and all statutory requirements., • Lead the creation, review, and delivery of individualised care plans, ensuring children’s needs, wishes, and aspirations are at the centre of practice., • Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and professional development of staff, ensuring high standards of performance and retention., • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability of the home without compromising quality of care., • Build and maintain effective relationships with external professionals, social workers, families, and multi-agency partners., • Ensure accurate and timely completion of reports, records, and data returns., • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and reflective practice across the home., • Two years minimum of proven managerial experience within a residential children’s home, including direct experience of one Ofsted inspections and regulatory compliance., • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), • In-depth knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and the Ofsted inspection framework., • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and children’s rights., • Inspirational leadership, with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse staff team., • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines., • Confident decision-making under pressure, with sound judgement and accountability., • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and regulatory submissions., • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to improving the lives of children and young people., • Professional integrity and ethical leadership, modelling the organisation’s values., • Solution-focused, innovative, and proactive in addressing challenges., • Calm and decisive in crisis situations., • Company pension
