Associate Building Surveyor Leeds Leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy Salary: Up to £75,000 Are you an experienced Building Surveyor ready to step up and lead? With a diverse pipeline of complex, high-value projects across sectors—including commercial, heritage, residential, and public realm—they are now seeking an Associate Building Surveyor to take a pivotal role in project leadership, client development, and team mentoring. The Role: As an Associate, you will be a key figure in both delivery and strategy. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships, and help shape the direction of the Building Surveying team in Leeds. Key Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple sectors, • Provide strategic oversight on feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and contract administration, • Deliver expert surveys and reports, including on historic and complex buildings, • Take full accountability for programme, budget, and client engagement, • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level surveyors, • Contribute to team leadership and the development of service lines, • Support and lead business development initiatives, including bid writing and client presentations, • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation (including CDM, Party Wall, Building Regs) Requirements: You are a confident, commercially astute Building Surveyor with a track record of delivering excellence at senior level. You’re comfortable leading large-scale projects, nurturing client relationships, and making a wider contribution to the growth of a business unit. • Degree-qualified in Building Surveying, • MRICS chartered (or able to demonstrate significant senior-level experience), • Strong technical knowledge of both traditional and modern construction, • Proven leadership in project delivery, reporting, and contract administration, • Deep understanding of JCT contracts and statutory compliance, • Confident communicator and team leader, • Experience in business development or strategic growth activity, • Experience with heritage/conservation buildings would be ideal Benefits: • Strong bonus schemes, • Flexible and hybrid working, • Supportive culture with clear progression pathways to Director level, • High-profile projects across multiple sectors, • Generous benefits package including Cycle to Work, training budget, and more!
