Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in the workshop in Bellimgham, London and with remote working at customers sites as and when needed, Fabricating, installation, and finishing of worktops and stone projects. Daily tasks include handling, cutting, polishing, and fitting stone materials, maintaining workspaces, loading and unloading tools and equipment, and collaborating with the team to deliver projects efficiently and safely. We are currently looking for a general labourer and trainee worktop fitter and stone mason. No experience is required as full training will be given. Ideal candidates must • have a full and valid UK driving licence (over 25 years old, due to insurance purposes), • be able to lift heavy items on a daily basis, • be hardworking, reliable and committed, • be willing to learn and take instruction, • have a positive 'can do' attitude. You will be working in the workshop in SE6 and also on site working within a small team. Key Responsibilities – General Building Works Carry out general building maintenance and repair works Prepare and protect work areas Complete works in line with specifications and standards Liaise with site management and report progress Flooring Works Remove existing floor finishes and prepare subfloors Install vinyl, LVT, carpet tiles, laminate, timber, and tiles Apply primers and self-levelling compounds Refit skirting boards and trims Adjust doors following flooring installation Door Repairs & Carpentry Repair and adjust internal and external doors Replace hinges, closers, locks, and ironmongery Carry out minor carpentry works Fire door adjustments (certification excluded unless specified) Plumbing (Minor / Reactive) Replace taps, valves, traps, and WC components Carry out basic leak detection and pipework repairs Reconnect appliances such as sinks and dishwashers Test and reinstate services Painting & Decoration Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, and priming Carry out internal painting and decorating to commercial standards Apply emulsion, gloss, satin, and specialist coatings as required Make good following repairs and maintenance works Ensure clean finishes and protection of surrounding areas Health & Safety Follow site health & safety procedures and RAMS Work safely in occupied environments Ensure compliance with regulations Skills & Experience Proven commercial general building experience Strong flooring, decorating, and carpentry skills Basic to intermediate plumbing knowledge Ability to work independently Qualifications CSCS card (preferred) Relevant trade qualifications (desirable) Full UK driving licence (preferred) Own tools (for subcontract roles)
