The Role We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join Arc Partnerships established Compliance team. You will play a key role in delivering asbestos management services across a diverse public sector estate, with an emphasis on education and development projects for Nottinghamshire County Council. This includes undertaking surveys, producing accurate technical reports, and supporting statutory compliance across a wide range of operational buildings. Working closely with colleagues and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure asbestos risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed across the portfolio Key Responsibilities Carry out regular site visits across Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, including schools, offices, and operational sites Undertake asbestos management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys across a variety of building types Produce clear, accurate, and compliant asbestos survey reports in line with legislation and guidance Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of asbestos management plans and registers Provide technical advice and guidance to internal teams, contractors, and clients Work closely with the Compliance Manager (Asbestos) and wider teams to support statutory compliance Maintain and update asbestos records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity Interpret and apply current asbestos legislation, guidance, and industry best practice Support effective communication between stakeholders to ensure asbestos risks are managed appropriately Contribute to safe working practices and continuous improvement across the compliance function What We Offer An attractive package (based on experience). Flexible working hours to support work-life balance Home-based role with regular site visits and attendance at the Nottingham office for meetings What Youll Bring BOHS P402 qualification (Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos) Experience undertaking asbestos management and refurbishment/demolition surveys Strong understanding of asbestos use in construction and typical building locations, including system buildings (e.g. CLASP) Knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements relating to asbestos management Experience producing accurate survey reports and maintaining asbestos registers Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams Organised, detail-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas Desirable Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. FAAM) Additional asbestos qualifications such as BOHS P405 Experience within Local Government or the wider Public Sector Basic understanding of wider construction risks such as fire and legionella Awareness of sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives About Arc Partnership We believe in creating meaningful change and have been a trusted strategic partner to Nottinghamshire County Council since 2016.
