We're looking for an enthusiastic new chef to join our team here at the greyhound sydenham As a Chef de Partie you will assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals and be able to work independently when Head Chef is away. You will adhere to strict health and safety procedures and ensure a clean and safe workspace. By becoming a part of the team you will be joining a reputable and growing hospitality chain. We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced kitchen team member to join our Dessert and Starter Section. This role requires someone who is passionate about food presentation, organized under pressure, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Key Details: Position: Dessert and Starter Section Chef Schedule: 5 days per week Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week Responsibilities: Prepare and plate high-quality starters and desserts Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the prep area Work closely with the head chef and follow kitchen procedures Manage prep and stock levels efficiently Experience in a similar role is preferred. Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork are essential.

As a Chef de Partie, you would be working on a variety of stations. responsible for creating an exceptional culinary experience for the guests through preparation, cooking and food presentation. Takes leadership role during the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.. Must adhere to all sanitation regulations and requirements and also responsible for the correct handling and preparation of all food items and equipment. 1. Able to organise the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders., 2. Able to prepare and sells food within recommended time frames to meet Guest expectations., 3. Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers., 4. Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff., 5. Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area., 6. Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification.

Ellary’s is a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Brockley with an established customer base in a vibrant community. We have a seasonal menu that we regularly change and we work with fantastic suppliers. We are a small, friendly team working in an open plan kitchen that allows for a great working relationship with front of house.
