Job Description: About the Role We are seeking a Cyber Policy Senior Research Analyst to contribute high-quality analysis at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology, and public policy. This role is suited to someone with 2-5 years of research experience who can independently deliver rigorous analysis while contributing to complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will translate complex cybersecurity and technology developments into clear, actionable policy insights. In addition to leading substantive research and analysis, you will play an active role in shaping research outputs, engaging with experts, and ensuring analytical quality across projects. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in cybersecurity and cyber policy, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, research-driven environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Cyber Policy Research & Analysis • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on cyber policy and technology topics, including:, • Cybersecurity and AI, • Regulatory implementation (e.g. CRA, NIS2), • 5G and 6G networks, • Quantum-safe transition, • Zero Trust and digital identity, • Scams, fraud, and online harms, • Cybersecurity and geopolitics, • Interview Management: Manage the end-to-end workflow for expert interviews, including scheduling, transcription, and systematic qualitative coding., • Data Analysis: Organise and structure large volumes of policy and qualitative data to support analysis and reporting., • Report Drafting: Draft the factual foundations of major research outputs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and logical structure., • Standards Monitoring: Track and summarise developments from key international standards bodies, including IETF, ITU, and ETSI. 2. Project Delivery • Bids & Proposals: Provide research inputs and operational support for project proposals, tenders, and client submissions., • Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between technical experts and policy leads to ensure technical accuracy and policy relevance in all outputs., • Client-Facing Materials: Produce high-quality slides, briefings, and progress updates for external stakeholders and clients. 3. Global Signal Exchange Research and Governance • Policy Research. Support research and analysis of data from Global Signal Exchange, documenting scam trends for policy audiences., • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in cyber policy research, technology policy, cybersecurity, international security, or a related field., • Strong interest in cybersecurity, cyber policy, and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate technical developments into clear policy insights., • Proven research experience, including desk-based research, synthesis of complex sources, and production of written outputs., • High level of organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously., • Confidence working with large volumes of qualitative and policy data and structuring it for analysis., • Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts, policy leads, and external stakeholders., • Proficiency with standard research, documentation, and presentation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
