Job Description The Global Master Data Manager is responsible for governing the organisation’s master data strategy across global ERP platforms, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability of key data assets. This role establishes and maintains high-quality data standards, processes, and artifacts across SAP, QAD, and integrated systems to enable efficient global operations, reporting, and compliance. The key responsibilities are below - Data Governance & Strategy • Define and maintain global master data policies, standards, and frameworks covering all enterprise systems (SAP, QAD, and related platforms)., • Lead the design and implementation of data governance processes ensuring end-to-end accountability for data quality and ownership., • Establish and chair cross-functional data governance forums, ensuring alignment of global and regional stakeholders., • In conjunction with BIS develop the MDM strategy and roadmap that supports enterprise digital transformation and harmonisation initiatives. Definition of Key Data Artifacts • Define, document, and maintain core master data artifacts including:, • Data Models for each domain., • Data Dictionaries and Glossaries to define attributes, permissible values, and business rules., • Process Maps and RACI Matrices for master data creation, change, and retirement., • Data Quality Rules, Validation Logic, and KPIs to monitor compliance., • Ensure all artifacts are version-controlled, auditable, and aligned with corporate data governance policies. Operational Data Management • Oversee global processes for data creation, enrichment, maintenance, and deactivation in SAP and QAD systems., • Ensure consistency between SAP and QAD data structures, particularly for shared domains such as Material, Vendor & Customer., • Collaborate with global business process owner to ensure master data supports efficient end-to-end process execution (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, plan-to-produce, etc.)., • Support master data migrations, integration, and cleansing activities. Data Quality & Compliance • Implementation and maintenance of data quality dashboards, metrics, and controls across SAP and QAD environments., • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to remediate data quality issues., • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and external regulatory requirements., • Partnering with IT security and compliance teams to ensure appropriate data access and segregation of duties. Leadership & Collaboration • Lead and mentor the Customer and Vendor data domain leads., • Partner with the Product data domain lead., • Lead the 2 global MDM teams in India and Czech., • Champion a data-driven culture, promoting ownership, accountability, and best practices across the enterprise., • Serve as the escalation point for critical master data issues impacting global business operations. Projects & Transformation • Act as workstream lead in ERP transformation and harmonisation projects involving SAP and QAD., • Define and govern master data-related deliverables for global business process standardisation initiatives., • Support the deployment of automation, AI-driven data cleansing, and workflow technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred, • Knowledge of SAP ERP is essential (ideally R3), • Manufacturing and or Engineering experience would be a bonus, • 7+ years of experience in master data management, preferably in a global or multinational organisation, • Strong knowledge of master data management systems, data governance frameworks, and data quality tools, • Leadership/management experience, • Experience with SQL and database management, • Expertise in data visualisation tools and techniques, • Demonstrated project management skills and experience, • In-depth understanding of data governance principles and best practices, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones, • Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or MDM Institute certification are a plus, • Willingness to travel occasionally to other global offices as required Additional Information With colleagues stretching across the globe, we are proud of our diversity.
