Due to organisational growth, we are looking for a Support Workers who share our vision to join an enthusiastic team at our Complex Needs Day Service in Stratford Upon Avon. You may need to travel to our others services from time to time to support absence. The role is 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday with hours varying between 8.30am / 9am start - 4pm / 4.30pm finish. There may be opportunity to work a longer day and some Saturdays. You will support customers on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis to access the community and to participate in activities they enjoy this could include; swimming, gym, working at a farm, tennis and riding accessible bikes. In the centre you will support customers in a variety of sessions which may be; cooking, music, art, sensory story telling as well supporting with daily needs which will include assisting with personal care, eating and drinking and postural care. We have an extensive training programme in place to ensure that staff are supported to feel confident within their role. But most of all, we offer fun and laughter throughout the day as well as being part of a fantastic and supportive team! Some of our customers can display distressed behaviour but a full shadowing induction is given and training is provided. Some previous care experience is preferred however full training will be provided - after all, good care comes from the HEART.
