We’re currently seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Operative to support the general upkeep and maintenance of our premises.
Role Summary:
The Maintenance Operative will be responsible for ensuring the club is well-maintained, safe, and presentable. This hands-on role involves general repairs, basic plumbing, painting and decorating, and minor groundskeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across the premises
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating tasks
Identify and report more complex issues that require specialist contractors
Ensure public areas, fixtures, and fittings are kept in good condition
Support setting up or clearing down for club events as required
Maintain outdoor spaces including basic gardening or litter picking
Conduct regular checks and minor repairs to fixtures, doors, and lighting
Keep a simple log of tasks completed and report to management
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role Good practical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently
A proactive and responsible attitude
Strong attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Basic health and safety knowledge
DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
Local to the Uxbridge area
