We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. What Youll Be Doing Design substations that meet client needs, budgets, and deadlines Help with tenders, contracts, and technical drawings Work closely with teams and clients to deliver projects smoothly Visit sites often and stay connected with the operations team Support and train engineers and CAD technicians Join design reviews and help improve standards and processes Follow safety, quality, and environmental rules (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001) Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels What Youll Bring Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering 5+ years experience in power transmission and substation design Strong knowledge of National Grid, British Standards, and UK design rules Skilled in 2D CAD software (Autodesk preferred) Able to quickly learn new engineering software Experience with NGET stage 4.4 design and earthing up to 400kV Knowledge of related areas: overhead lines, civil design, protection & control, HV cables Bonus: MSc, chartership, expert in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and power system tools Want to work on impactful projects and grow your expertise in a fast-moving sector?
