We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Ofsted-registered children's residential home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children’s social care and demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding, trauma-informed care to children and young people with complex needs. This role requires robust leadership, sound knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the ability to build a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for the young people in our care. Key Responsibilities • Provide effective leadership and management of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards, legislation, and safeguarding procedures., • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised placement and care plans in collaboration with the child, local authority, families, and professionals., • Ensure the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of children is prioritised and promoted through structured routines, risk management, and care strategies., • Lead and supervise a team of residential staff, providing performance management, reflective supervision, and promoting continuous professional development., • Promote a culture of openness, safety, participation, and high aspiration for children, using therapeutic and relational approaches (e.g. PACE)., • Oversee the home’s staffing rotas, training, incident reporting, and ensure robust safeguarding and whistleblowing processes are embedded., • Work in partnership with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and families to support positive outcomes for each child., • Maintain and monitor budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care and homely environment., • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)., • At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting., • Thorough understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards, and relevant safeguarding frameworks., • Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and inspire a team working with children who may display challenging behaviour and have experienced trauma., • Strong communication, report-writing, and multi-agency partnership skills., • Proven experience in developing and reviewing individualised care and behaviour support plans., • Casual dress, • Company events, • Company pension, • Free parking, • On-site parking, • Referral programme, • Have you led a staff team through a Regulation 44 visa or Ofsted inspection?, • Have you ever had an Ofsted enforcement action, compliance notice or warning issued against you or a setting you managed? xrnqpay
