As a Barista / Bartender at Firedog, you’ll be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and cocktails while providing friendly, attentive service to our customers. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) and cocktails. - Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about the menu. - Ensure that the bar and coffee stations are clean, stocked, and organised at all times. - Maintain knowledge of Firedog’s menu offerings and be able to recommend drinks or provide information on ingredients and preparation. - Handle cash, credit card transactions, and tips accurately, following company procedures. - Follow health and safety guidelines, including sanitising equipment and maintaining cleanliness of work areas. - Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down the bar and coffee station. - Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and efficient workflow. - Create a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers and providing personalised service. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a barista, bartender, or in a similar customer service role is preferred. - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first attitude. - Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and cocktail preparation. - Must be at least 18 years old (for alcohol service). - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. - Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
