The Opportunity Join one of the UK’s key nuclear power stations on a 12-month industrial placement designed for future business and operations leaders. You’ll work within the Performance Improvement team at Heysham 1, supporting the station’s day-to-day functions and contributing to long-term strategic improvement across the site. This placement blends analytical work, organisational learning, and business operations, giving you a real-world view of how nuclear stations are run and improved. What You’ll Be Doing You'll take on real responsibilities that give you exposure to live projects, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement strategies, including: • Performance monitoring and data analysis, • Supporting organisational learning and event investigations, • Creating internal communications and improvement campaigns, • Helping develop and test new training initiatives, • Contributing to contractor readiness and safety planning, • Analysing operational data to identify areas for optimisation Where You’ll Be Based You’ll be based at Heysham 1 Power Station, one of the UK's advanced gas-cooled reactor (AGR) stations. You’ll work on-site with experienced professionals across departments, getting real exposure to the operational side of nuclear energy.
