Working Hours: • Full-time, permanent position, • Average of 38.5 hours per week, • Continental shift pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, • Rotating day and night shifts:, • Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm, • Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a skilled engineering team, reporting to the Engineering & Facilities Manager. Your role will be to provide effective maintenance support across all site equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key responsibilities include: • Maintaining extrusion and thermoforming machinery to optimum operating standards, • Responding to machine breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective repairs, • Supporting and contributing to the planned preventative maintenance programme, • Identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing corrective actions, • Prioritising workload in line with engineering guidelines and business needs, • Liaising with engineering stores to ensure critical spare parts are available, • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site Skills & Experience: • Multiskilled maintenance engineer with a strong electrical bias (approximately 60% electrical / 40% mechanical), • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or formal City & Guilds qualification, • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant electrical regulations, • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability, • Experience working with PLCs and control panels, • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative, • Good IT skills, attention to detail, and physical fitness, • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Why Should You Apply?
