As a Product Assurance Engineer at Spire, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of our space systems as we expand our fleet and take on new missions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in aerospace, space, or other high‑reliability environments who is looking to deepen their expertise and contribute directly to mission success. You will work closely with senior PA staff, engineering teams, and project managers to support the full lifecycle of Product Assurance activities.What You’ll Do:You will support the implementation of Product Assurance processes across assigned projects or subsystems, including:Contributing to the definition and flow‑down of PA requirements based on customer and project specificationsSupporting compliance verification activities and helping document/justify deviations where requiredAssisting in the development and maintenance of Project PA Plans and ensuring they are followed throughout the project lifecycleParticipating in reviews, audits, and technical meetings, providing PA input as neededSupporting the management of non‑conformities internally and with suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and visibilityHelping prepare, review, and maintain project Quality documentationSupporting reliability, dependability, and safety analysis activities under guidance from senior PA staffContributing to supplier quality oversight, including documentation reviews and participation in supplier meetingsAssisting with hardware qualification, component selection, and technology validation activitiesSupporting risk management processes and contributing to mitigation planningHelping capture and promote lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives across projectsMain Interfaces:Spire Program Manager and PMO teamSpire Program Delivery and Engineering teamsCustomer PA representatives (with support from senior PA staff)Supplier and partner QA representativesKey Skills:Experience in the space, aerospace, or other high‑reliability engineering domainUnderstanding of Product Assurance or Quality Assurance principlesFamiliarity with standards used in high‑reliability environments (e.g., ECSS, NASA, DO‑254/178, ISO)Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teamsDetail‑oriented mindset with a structured approach to documentation and complianceAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyPreferred Skills:Knowledge of ECSS standards (or willingness to learn)Experience with non‑conformity management tools or quality systemsExposure to reliability, safety, or dependability analysisProactive, curious, and eager to develop within the Product Assurance disciplineSpire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required for this role.
