Behaviour Support Assistant – Immediate Start | NP20, Newport Location: NP20, Newport Pay: From £92.63 per day Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a supportive primary school in the NP20 area of Newport to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils aged 3–11 who may display challenging behaviours or require additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils engage with learning, regulate emotions, and build positive relationships both inside and outside of the classroom. The Role As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them remain engaged in lessons, manage behaviour positively, and access learning in a structured environment. You may support pupils with: Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) Behavioural challenges Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD and attention difficulties Trauma-related behaviours / emotional dysregulation Trial days may be required to ensure the role is the right fit for both candidate and school.
