Electrical Engineer – Retail Environment\n\nWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a facilities management provider for an Electrical Engineer to be based on a retail site, working as part of an on-site engineering team.\n\nThis role will suit a qualified tradesperson with a strong electrical bias and experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial or retail environment.\n\nRole Overview:\nYou will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical systems, M&E plant, and general building fabric, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently at all times.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance as directed by the Contract Manager\n\n * Fault finding, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical services and equipment\n\n * Supporting wider site team with non-specialist building fabric tasks\n\n * Updating and closing PPMs on the site CAFM system\n\n * Ensuring engineering, QA, and Health & Safety standards are maintained\n\n * Completing site documentation and maintaining accurate records\n\n * Responding to call-outs and attending site emergencies when required\n\n * Working at height and within plant room environments (PPE and access provided)\n\n * Maintaining company tools and equipment in a safe condition\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Electrically biased trade background\n\n * Experience within retail, commercial, or FM environments\n\n * Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures\n\n * Proactive attitude and strong team-working skills\n\n * Willingness to support the contract and wider site team\n\nThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
