New Vacancy: Financial Systems Manager - FreightOur client is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional with strong systems knowledge and previous experience within logistics, transport, or a service-led operational environment.Please note: previous experience using Sage X3 is essential for this positionThe successful candidate will support the business with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and continuous improvement across finance systems and processesLocation: North ActonFull-Time | PermanentSalary: £60,000 £80,000 depending on experienceWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am5:00pm or 9:00am6:00pmKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, variance analysis, and commentaryLead and support annual budgeting and forecasting processesProduce KPI dashboards and management reportsAnalyse costs, margins, and profitability across departments and projectsSupport pricing analysis, commercial reporting, and business casesPartner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insightAssist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditorsIdentify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and margin growthContribute to the ongoing improvement of finance processes and controlsSystems & Process ImprovementAct as the lead contact for Sage X3 support, maintenance, and developmentLiaise with external software providers and support system upgradesDrive reporting and finance system improvementsEnsure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systemsSkills & ExperienceEssentialProven experience as a Financial Systems Manager, Management Accountant, or similar finance rolePrevious experience within logisticsStrong analytical skills and high attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modellingAbility to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersExperience using ERP systems, particularly Sage X3DesirableCIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified or part-qualifiedExperience using Power BI or similar reporting toolsStrong understanding of finance systems, reporting, and process improvementWhat Were Looking ForCommercially minded and solutions-focusedProactive and able to work in a fast-paced environmentConfident working with senior management and operational teamsOrganised, hands-on, and driven to improve processes and performanceIf you have the relevant experience and are looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced logistics environment, we would like to hear from you.Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager to join their finance team.
