CNC Recruitment are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our clients team within a manufacturing/engineering environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet defined quality standards through inspection, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Salary: £18 per hour Contract: Temporary (3-4 months) Hours: Monday Thursday 8am - 5pm Friday 8am 2pm Key Responsibilities • Conduct first-off inspections to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications., • Ensure products and processes comply with AS9001 and ISO9001 quality management standards., • Interpret and review engineering and technical drawings, including geometric symbols and tolerances., • Perform dimensional inspections using metrology and measurement equipment., • Use inspection tools including:, • Callipers, • Micrometres, • Plug gauges, • Screw plug gauges, • Screw ring gauges, • Gap gauges, • Read and follow control plans to ensure correct inspection and quality processes are applied., • Identify non-conformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions., • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency., • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation., • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues., • Support internal and external audits as required., • Strong working knowledge of AS9001 and ISO9001 and their practical application., • Proven experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or engineering environment., • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement., • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications., • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)., • Practical experience using metrology equipment and inspection tools., • Experience conducting precision inspections in a similar environment., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. xrnqpay, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
